Have seen some snaps a while ago.... but don't know where to find them or what there called..... they are not like a normal type wich ya have to open or close.
The wire just wraps around like a pig tail and ya just thread the split ring hook etc through the pig tail.... just looking @ getting some for use with SP's for Barra.
Anyone got any clue as to where can buy or what they are called... Thanx.

Cheers Les

Yeah mate... hows the bung leg ? Fishings a lot safer sport.... :-X
The pigtails that Scotts talking about way well be them ? As the ones i'm thinking of are made in Aus.... May have seen them at a boat show or something like that.... I think this bloke was making them on the site and they tested over 100 lbs.

I can't think of the name of them but Heath has an article in either the current or last month's Bush'nBeach fishing mag that has something like you're talking about, didn't think they were a snap though. Have a look at them or maybe Heath might jump on and fill int the gaps if he see's this.

Sounds like a corkscrew clip, though I have not seen them for casting lures, only for trolling offshore lure's.I'll try and get a photo of one and post it.

Hi Les,

You may want to re-think about using any sort of snaps or swivels when using Soft Plastics.

I have found that any sort of added contraption could interfere with the true action of that particular SP.

Obviously the bigger the Plastic the less affect on the lure.

For the best action, tie the braid directly to your leader and then tie your leader directly to your Plastic Lead Head.

Take it for what its worth

Best of Luck

Frank00.... thanx for the advise.
Why-ting .... interesting bit of gear those Pivy-jigs but not what i'm looking for mate. The ones i'm lookin for... #ya tie the line on to an eye like ya would find on a Coast Lock snap... it has a straight shank and the pig tail runs back up & around the shank.... and the tackle is threaded through the pig tail. # Thanx for the help.... I will keep looking.

Cheers Les
