snapper sinkers

i just brought some 4 oz single moulds.. are they too light???

Depends where you are fishing Timddo,

We only fish 32fthms+, so your 1/4 lb sinkers would be no good to us , minimum 1.5 lb.
But if you were fishing shallower water with no current, 4 oz would probably be fine. Its good to have a selection of different weights, just in case.

Was thinking of fishign 32fthms so 1.5 is 1/2kg sinker. Are you sure..

Depends on the current. At the 32's with current you would need half a kg. I really don't like to have to fish that heavy but. My most commonly used sinker is 6oz - but I mostly fish between 30 and 40 metres. FWIW unless I'm fishing really shallow I find 4oz too light (too slow to get to the bottom)

Really depends where you are & where you fish, Tony N only fishes 20miles or less from me down the coast, HI Tony, but our methods could be entirely different.
If you are planning on fishing 60 mtrs + ( I wont usually stop inside the 32s ). If there is any chance of current , I wouldn't drop less than 1.5lb, but thats what I'm used to too.

made around 50 sinkers in th 12 and 8oz, Will test them when the weather calms down. Why is it always blowy on saturdays and sundays.
