Newcomer to offshore ????

Hi guys had my 1st outing last saturday , got busted on my 1st drop & realised I'm very under done in the offshore Rod & reel department :-[ ! Could anyone guide me in that department . Something that is not to expensive , that the wife may get me for Chrissy . Thanks .....

take alook at a. mart they occassionaly do a t.l.d25 and rod for just over 200bucks they are a good alrounder for the price thats off shore of cause :) :) :) :)bluefin59

penn 320gti overhead reel you can get a combo for about 180 load it up with braid excellent for bottom bashing
