Just wondering if anybody uses the atomic 3 inch jerk minnow!, they look at tad better than berkley in that size for squire as they are a little fatter, they say they are pre scented but to me they smell like a new pair of rubber flippers, so anybody use these??.

I've used them in the colour green pumpkin, smoke metal flake, real shad & green gord mainly on Flathead & came up with some good results. I used them when the fishing is slow & have always(so far) came up with a fish or two to save bad day's fishing.
The scent is a antiseed smell that is fairly strong..

Great for squire, brown crawdad, pearl blue and metal flake. One of the best value for money plastics around I reckon

I'm not sure if it's the exact one you're talking about, but I've got some white atomic flickbait type softies, and they have a very strong garlic scent to them (we're talking more garlic than my Italian mate's mum's cooking). They've worked well for me for flathead and estuary cod around the passage.

Tried the atomics today and hmmm im impressed, the pumkin seed with flecks is good and they got hammered, in total me and my son caught 10 squire and all on atomics, these are good value i reckon and although they say they are scented to me they smell like rubber but hey the fish like them.

Are the atomics bio-degradable?

I wouldn't think so damage, they don't feel much like the gulps and they're the only ones I know of that are bio-degradable.

I've used them alot. They are definatly garlic scented and work well.
They are actually 3.5" even though on the pack it says 3 :-?

Hi guy's, just wondering what size jig heads would you use? How do you know ::)what jig head to use with which plastics? Im looking into some when we go on hols down the gold coast in a couple of weeks and need a bit of help. I have never tried sp's, and dont even know where to start, so go easy on me. Looking at targeting flatties and maybe bream, landbased only, so a couple of spots would be handy as well ::). CHEERS woody

Hi woody, mate if your using braid then try 1/8th tt with a no2 hook and 3inch berkley minnows in any colour but smelt scales is good, if your using mono then you will need a tad more weight for casting, start near sundale bridge and walk the flats north casting for flatties and you will bag out no worries, so throw them back for another day ok.
