Dropped into this place for an overnight stay which is never enough time to fish here. The afternoon was nice the water dead flat, water colour was dirty although we still managed two yellows 400mm & 430mm (Voodoo purple) and a number of half hearted strikes on our lures.
The next morning (late start) we hit the water with only one rat bass of 380 mm (Cedar lure) for our efforts with a number of strikes and me being well and truely skunked by some finned foe :o :o.
As it tured out the main dam area had rolled about a week ago so that would explain the lack of fish and water colour. Sounding around we never picked up any schools at all although we never ventured to the timbered areas, thats for the next LONGER trip. ;D ;D
Total fishing time about 4 hours 15 strikes 3 boated fish donation 2 lures :o
We had a ball and we intend on another trip soon ;D ;D
