A mate and i fished Wellington point reef this morning with good results....We fished from 6am to 1pm.....The most bites we had were just after the low tide had turned around 6-30am
The wind was from the southeast at 10 to 15 knots until a northeast sea breeze of 15 knots at around 11am when the bite rate slowed down.We had the best morning on the bay ever.!!...10 sweetlip to 37cms,5 moses perch to 28 cms,1 flathead of 35 cms and a 28cm tawhine.....threw heaps of under size squire back. Heres a photo of half of today's sweetlip catch,the mates got the rest of the fish.
Im going back to that same location sunday morning for another round of sweetlip versus angler..boy those fish fight hard!!!!!
