:DHi everyone, aquarius is in New Zealand at present on holiday.............I took him to the beach this morning in search of a feed of flounder............We did 4 sweeps with a bait net and managed to catch 4 nice sized flounder's......The water temp was pretty cold........Not like the warm water in Queensland........there's nothing like a fresh flounder for tea !!
Cheers Kapiti. ;D

Thanks for the reply Hungry6
Yesterday was the annual spear fishing contest on the Kapiti Coast and the following fish were caught. King fish, Butter fish, Kawhai (Australian Salmon) Blue Cod, Red Cod, Crayfish, etc and later in the day the fish were auctioned. Our Qld visitors did a good job of smoking a few of the catch and the freezer is looking after the rest. The flounder season is almost finished as the water is much colder and they don't like cold water. Pix attached
Good fishing Hungry6 and all the best from Kapiti
