Where to Fish

Can someone please help me.
Being new at fishing with not much experence could someone tell me where in SEQLD the good fishing spots are, I dont have a boat..
It seems that the best type of fish to catch is either Whitting,Bream,Dart or maybe Taylor.
What are the best types of bait to use.

Hi Wombat,

I am a resident of Bribie Island North of Brisbane, Bribie is a great place to fish without a boat on the calm side you can catch Bream, Whiting, Flathead and even Tailor from along the foreshore. On the surf side once again Tailor, whiting, Bream and over the past week from along the beach near the old Gun Turrets small Tuna up to around the 70cm mark casting slugs from the beach, hope this helps.
