Fished the bay yesterday with Wes, saw one guy fight something big ?shark for about an hour at the four beacons. No surface activity. Headed up then down the bay. At about the ?Rous channel 1-2 pods of longtail, landed one on slugs. Pretty shy.

Headed further down towards Harry Atkinsons, 5-10 pods of longtails popping up for a few minutes. None landed.. :'(

Fished again today, this time Moolooba. Got 2 jellybean macks out the front around the point, some small schools of longtails popping up again. Very flighty. Had several shots. No Joy. :'( :'(

Cheers

George

Fitzy,

I'm keeping the faith with the flyrod. Though I did do a bit of live baiting around the 4 beacons(yuk smelly bait).

The above image is of George yesterday with a longtail on a slug in Moreton Bay.

Here a photo of George with a Bribie Longtail on Fly caught just before easter. The tuna were going off, even George got one on fly.

Guys did the Bribie run Saturday. Few schools of Mac Tuna around. Around 2pm the bait schools were literally turning the water into big black spots. About 200m off the shore, right in front of the flagged swimming area, the longtails were going nuts. We drifted into the scholl and I was spell bound as I watched Eagle Rays, Mackeral, Longtails and some BIG nasties cruising through the bait schools.
