Macquarie River Report

Fished Macquarie with Wally at the back of Geurie on Monday 15 April. Landed 35 cm trout cod and returned to water after a quick look in the shallow.
He hit hard and late, good fun on a Horsey brown top yellow silver scale with black bars baby bandit, great little lure to flick around in those waters.
Second trout cod to come out of those waters in the last month, Murray cod have been around as well.

Thanks for the report. I'm not familiar with the location but from what I'm told Trout Cod are pretty scarce these days? They tell me trout cod are a bit more aggressive than Murrays.
Kev Horsey makes some pretty good lures. Those baby bandits work well on the mangrove jack up here on the gold coast.
