Anglers have had to work hard for any banana prawn catches over the past week with the area around the mouth of rivers and creeks the most productive.
Bramble Bay around the mouth of Nudgee Creek and Redbill Island at the mouth of the Logan have been some of the most consistent over the past few weeks.
Flathead catches have also been consistent around the southern bay sand banks.
The area between the Iron Stem on the western side of Macleay Island, down to the Garden Island cutting has turned up some quality fish.
Alain Baldwin landed a 55cm and 70cm flathead in front of the Garden Island jetty on Anzac Day and Brian Beecroft had similar results on the Macleay side of the Iron Stem.
The sand crabs have been worked hard in this area but the Baldwins still managed nine keepers from two runs of their eight dillies.
Bream are dominating catches throughout the Pin area with the better catches coming from the deep water on moonlit nights and the shallows of Tiger Mullet Channel on the dark, no moon nights.
School jew are also being caught in the deeper holes during the turn of the tide using squid for bait.
Squid numbers are improving over weed banks in the bay as the water temperature drops with good catches coming from the Pelican Banks during the week.
