Bribed my cousin to catch the early high tide on the Tweed and throw some rubbers at some lizards. Wasn't a difficult bribe i might add (wanna come fishin? ::))
Anyway the hi was about 7-730am and we were on the water at fav spot by 6.10am. Weather was 11/10 :D :D
no brezze water temp good, bar dropping quite quickly.
While my cousin was tying on a pumpkinseed paddletail my third cast was a hit - released 36cm. Laughed and said 'one nill' ;D ;D ;D
Typical of my form - fish like a greyhound , start hard and fast and fade quickly ;D
On the first drift we picked up 7 - 2 keepers (44,42)
Cut a long story short we were back at the ramp by 10.30am.
Total count 35 Flathead in the boat, dropped 12 prior to netting :-[, 1 whiting ,3 bream
In the esky 8 Flathead to be shared between the two of us .No real size - best went 59cm smallest keeper went 40cm. All released fish ranged between 27cm - 35cm.
Luckily the softies aren't that expensive ::) - Total throw away 9 :-/
Possibly one of the best sessions in a while - cousin certainly converted ;) ;D ;D ;D
hope you all had a great weekend ;) :D :D ;D
