woke up at a very early 4.15am to be down at the wharf by 5. taking on the bar was interesting took about 5 minutes of waiting for the right set of waves. finally got out to North Reef and down went the bottom bashers and my baitrunner with a snapper special rig. within 30 seconds the parrot fish started to come on board. my baitrunner still yet to have a touch. the current and wind were opposing each other so it made it difficult to but a floater out. after a while got a nice lipper of about 35cm. one guy down the back of the boat had a large cod on and after about 15minutes of fighting a 17kg cod broke the surface. at that same moment my baitrunner went off and i began the fight. it took me under a ledge and snapper me off. probably a big trout or cod ::) overall a good day out with a good number of parrots, moses perch, squire and a big cod. the other boat caught 2 nice cobia.
the best part of the day was that i didn;t get sea sick ;D
