hey guys decided to hea dout to mud at 4 this mornin and brave the strong winds for a fish at mud. left cleveland and was hit with a 15knot N/E breeze. it was a long haul out there but when we got the found some nice ground in about 5 metres of water and ahcored up. set our rigs up and straight away i get a hit got the fish to the surface and it turned out to be a nice flatty about 85cm's. all went quiet for about 2 hours when my mate mitches rod takes off after a nice little fite he boats a 60cm squire his pb. soon after i finish off our tally with a 45cm squire. the trip home was even slower with the wind pickin up to about 20knots.

sorry guys no pics this time as i forgot to take the camera out in my mates boat. and yes the flathead was released without any harm.
cheers steve

Yep, there's still a few fish around, well done for pushing through less than ideal conditions to be rewarded with a PB. And the Q on everyones' lips??? Bait, lures or SP's?? :-?

Vertigo,

I put them in their own category, bait and lure combined. Open a pack of Berkley Gulps and take a wiff. If the smell attracts fish, is that characteristic of a lure or bait? ;D
