g day everyone, just need some advice.
I found an old guy who selling a 1994 patrol 4.2 diesel, in almost new condition, always garaged, and hasnt been registered, so hasnt driven it for the past five years, as he doesnt need the car to travel to work and back, but he starts the motor regularly.

Is there anything i should look out for when inspecting the car.
sitting so long without being driven , is it bad or good?
hes asking around $16000.
Also what sort of fuel economy can i expect?
As this is my first 4wd and diesel that im looking to purchase.

cheers from marz

I assume it has only done low k's.
Economy is 11l/100k. They are 85kilowatt.
At $16,000 I reckon buy it you could not go wrong.

I have an older moldel and they are so reliable,

Cheers

sorry i got it wrong its an 1989 patrol with 112000km/s and he wants $18000-$20000. is it worth the price?

I saw the car its in excellent near new condition inside and out, but its still a 1989 model for almost 20 grand is it worth it?

I reckon it would be worth $15,000 tops. There would not be many of these vehicles around in this condition with this low kilometres to compare it with. Most this age are around 250k's. You will still need to organize RWC and rego.

There are some very low k's nissan safari's availble for the $15,000-$20,000 . They tend to have a lot more options.

Keep haggling cause by the sound of it they don't come much better.
