Hahah... wow.. a 62 Fairlane.. sounds tempting #::)

The 4x4 has a 2.2 Litre Petrol motor (22R). #She is registered for a couple more months and will have roadworthy certificate 'pink slip' when I sell it anyway. #There is about 328k on the clock. #The motor was fully reconditioned 15-16 months ago for $2,200. #
I just had the top end all rebuilt again and had the carburetter refurbished ($2,000) so I know the motor will have no problems. #

The car was a project I didn't finish, in that, I was going to upgrade the motor to a V8, however that required a lot of hassles with Blue Slips etc. and insurance. #The current motor was was suffering so hence why I investigated the options and chose to recondition instead. #I was also going to upgrade the suspension and lift it higher but again insurance companies would hate me (non-standard/modified insurance companies use against us) so since it is naturally already high I left it as is. #I was considering Old Man Emu replacements.

Next were the tyres so I also added new 31" All Terrain Bridgestones at over $1000 about 1200km ago.

I purchased some recaro bucket seats, a Toyota sports steering wheel, had a custom centre console created (with drink/coffee holder), and got spotlights and a $500 Redback alarm system with remote central locking to warn off theives. #

The next part was to get the body up to near perfect which I didn't get to. #Slight rust in the 2 doors by a few centremetres (outer shell only), some blemishes here and there and there was a small scrape on the L/H rear fibreglass wheel flare that needed patching. #I was then going to give it a fresh coat of paint to finish it off.

The extras it has are;

Bundera '86 RJ70 classic RED
2 door
2.2 Litre Petrol Motor - just rebuilt (all receipts)
NEW 31" 'All Terrain' tyres
Colour coded bullbar
Colour coded flares
Colour coded ROH Rims
Cibbie Spotlights
Recaro Bucket seats
Seats 5 adults (lap seatbelts in the rear)
Redback alarm
Remote Central Locking
Sony XPLOD Sound System
Toyota Sports Steering wheel
Toyota Towbar and Tow Ball assembly
Customized Central Console with drink holders
Sidesteps
Soft Top

I reckon the approx Value $9k-$10k

Anyway, let me know if you are interested

;D #Definately.. this 4bie is not for towing boats etc. #Works fine towing my motorbike trailer.

Hi Fatboy,

Anything above a 600cc for road bikes. Probably R6 or GSXR600 to 750.

Even considered a few street trail bikes like the KTM520s and XR600R etc.

I will be hunting for a bike probably after I sell so figured it easier if someone has a bike to swap. 8)

I have two 4X4's the other being a Challenger so hence why I am getting rid of this one and getting a bike

:)

did have a GPZ 750 R but sold it and kept the beemer. It amasingly had better performance (0-100kph in 4.5 secs), lots of pulling power (i also tow a 5X3 trailer for the camping gear) and it has all the creature comforts like a radio, lots of storage and nice thick seat (hey, I am old I know ;)) and the best feature is it's white and everybody thinks it's a coppers bike and get out of my way.. you beauty!! ;)

Yeah, the GPZ wouldn't stand a chance against the Beamer. I still don't get the Ulysses riders that tow a trailer on a bike. Seems to me that it restricts the enjoyment of riding. You may as well get a topless 4WD ;)
I guess the main thing is you are riding still. :)
