You've just made me smile. I'm heading over for 10 days on the 24th for my annual samson run. Good to see that they have started now. Are they in the same area as last year i.e. 100m line close to the first FAD?

Cheers

Now thats the type of action i'm wanting !!!!! ;) I've always felt that my arms have been a little to short and that looks like a great way to fix the problem. I wonder if Medicare will cover the costs :o :o

From over there if you looked real hard you would have home wouldn't you? #When are you guys having a look at Fraser? #I will be up there this weekend scoping it out for you. #Did you see George (Team Mongo) with the GT from up there?

Nice fish Kevin!
Looks like you were fishing some pretty rough seas

WRT your fishing photo's, Roderick and Brad job have mentioned to me to always take into account the fact that you're built like a bloody giant so they must be some pretty big fish!

Nice stuff! I've just finished rigging up some bridals on my existing jigs like you've got there on those Chaos', just to see how they'll go. Reckon it's worthwhile ditching the rear trebles?

How do sampsons go on the table? Firm white flesh?

Man hows your back after lifting all those brutes. They are huge!

Well done mate!

hi manacubus

i find a single top hook gives you at least 90% hook up.the fish tend tocome sideways and top down to eat the fish head first.fishing structures or very rocky bottoms i think the bottom treble hook might get hooked up to often.

hi manacubus

i release all the fish i catch, but i have had a young samson of about 6kg for a fish bake(head ,tail, skin off)fish wrapped up in al foil spiced with all kinds of herbs and spices and either oven baked or on top of bbq and it came out very well.

i think a bigger fish would be to dry when cooked.
