A mate of mine went fishing a week ago & got some nice fish.
don't know the spot won't tell me i have to go for a trip with him.

nice fish there , there's a lot of good reef out from pt vernon #;)
also around in gatakers bay 8-)

Hi Kleiny, not much at Pt Vernon in structure but if you catch up to me i give you some structure marks fairly shallow. Phil

Bazzaman i would love to get a trout that big my mate will take me to that spot soon hopefully & will be taking the big handlines.

insanefisho are you talking about the grounds from urangan near thr 2nd beacon??? good for bluies & trout but , spearing is the best option there as they are finichy in that shallow water.

Hmmm, was thinking those sinkers in the first photo or two looked a bit large for Point Vernon ;)

i use the same rig a lot of the time, run the sinker between 2 swivels cause of the braid.

looks like you guys were out at 25 fathom or the southern gutters maybe? Pretty big trout to be catching in round gatakers. Good effort though looks like a top day out on the water. Well done!!

Me thinks so Tim.

I have caught trout in the Pt Vernon / Gatakers Bay area, but not that big. Squire..............mmmmmm Gutters sounds more likely the place, but a fisho would not tell a lie ? would He ?
