Took the day off yesterday (tue 20/12) and fished the sunshine coast area. caught 1 spotty on a trolled pilly, 2 on floating pillies and 2 on slugs. dropped a couple as well of course, and a few additional hits on the lures. there were heaps around, but a bit cagey about taking lures unless they landed right in the frenzy. it was great seeing rooster tails of spray amongst the frothy white water. also great hearing the spool screaming on the first run, especially when a spotty takes a floater. I can only imagine what a Spaniard would sound like. hopefully I'll find out before too long!

Hey Johno - VERY nice mate. Don't tell Ed - he'll turn GREEN

SgBFish:

He is fat hopefully full of grinners.

Too true - wouldn't that be a great natural selection process

Garry - nice little tip there mate, thanks - I assume the reason is that when the fish sees the lure and starts to follow it, the sun is then behind the fish, providing maximum lustre to the chrome plating on the slug??? Is that correct??
