Hi Guys,
Finally got to the barwons on Thursday, Lovely day started off form the ramp at 4.30am and arrived at the spot at 6am looking for the last few Perlies that still might be a bit hungry NO LUCK :'( We moved to a spot further north in 90 meters of water that i was guaranteed was THE Snapper Spot !! NO LUCK So we moved back up into the shallow water and finally scored a few nice fish on the edge of the reef. My new Deckie for the day Dave spotted a heap of bait on the Lowrance and decided to drop down a Jig 3 Jerks later and he's ON BIG TIME. Nice Ambo about 15KG to 18 KG He lands him on the floor of the Cruise Craft and does his Cowboy act leaping onto its back to try to hold it down and dislodge the hook (Meanwhile I'm yelling in the backgroung Keep your Bloo... Hands away fro the hooks) OOOPS. In Dave's own words 18kg Ambo on one hook and 83kg ######## on the other...
I had to actually cut the finger to get the point of the hook through (I didn't feel a thing) ...
