Myself and Moffy braved the foreboding rainclouds today and went out to Arlington Reef. With the neap tides we decided to drift the bommies casting lures to have some fun with the resident cave dwellers. Whilst not red-hot, the action was fairly constant. Moffy opened the account with one of many Yellow Tailed Sweetlip

I joined in the action with a high-flying Long Tom

I was surprised at the amount of Red Bass that jumped on the lures. These are a real handful on light line in 10 feet of water

All in all a good fun day. Hooked a couple of unstoppable's and landed about 15 different species in all. Also had some great fun on poppers with a couple being taken home to the reef

Daniel, as far as I know Ausfish doesn't have a facility for posting video's so can't help you there unfortunately.
We headed out around 6am and managed to avoid the rain for most of the day, but yeah we did get hosed on at the ramp.
cheers,
steve

Cheers Steve for a good fun trip.
was great to do something different and catch a few doing it. Thanks again.
fishface - no sinker there - just an optical illusion caused by the old crappy traceline i was using.
