A photo in todays Herald Sun shows a 120.71kg bluefin tuna caught off Portland. :o :o

One of our local fishermen caught one of 102kg.

They are being caught in water up to 500m deep and up to 60km offshore.

It is not known if they were allways there or if it is just that people are going further offshore these days.

Report says that "there have been many reports of fishers being "smoked" on 24kg gear.
Take a big RED to do that #;D ;D ;D
