LEFT THE JETTY AT 6AM AND HEADED TO SUNSHINE REEF. ANCHORED UP AND STARTED BURLEYING. BURLEYED FOR 1 AND A HALF HOURS WAITING FOR THE SPANIARDS. FIRST FISH ABOARD WAS A SMALL LONGTAIL TUNA. NEXT WAS A 9 KG SPANIARD. 5 MINS LATER ANOTHER 9KG SPANIARD. 10MINS LATER A 15KG SPANIARD, THEN AN 8KG SPANIARD 10MINS LATER... PULLED THE PICK AND WAS BACK AT THE JETTY AT 9AM.. THEY CHEWED HARD FOR AN HOUR OR SO.. WE LEFT THEM BITING AS WE ALREADY HAD TO MUCH FISH TO GIVE AWAY.. THEY WERE IN GREAT CONDITION AND WERE REALLY THICK SPANIARDS.. ;D

Seapup,

firstly congrats on the fish [smiley=cool3.gif]

I cant see from the picks that you have removed a pectoral fin from each fish?

Are you aware of this law?

cheers

Yes - we were beginning to think they had all dissapeared - perhaps the cold change brought them on.

All of our last trips have been for 0 - seeing the great images has us fired up for this week.

Good fish guys - enjoy the steaks.

Hi Phill,
I was going to hit the top of the Hards on saturday but decided on sunshine reef for some spaniards... as i was hoping that cold snap would bring the big boys on the chew! and it sure did. my mates gregg and dave, that i took out had never caught a spaniard before, they were stoked after the session... the fish were also their PB's in weight so they were happy. it makes me stoked to see my mates so happy after catching fish like we caught! :)

Ben.
