well sort of blues. myself and ben job headed down to spot x to chase some snaps early and then some blue groper.
first few baits yeilded some very solid moses going 50cm each. then ben got absolutely blown away on 30lb by what we think was a rampaging yellowtail. throwing a few plastics around in the meantime and i got plenty of red rock cod Rolling Eyes and a nice little tomato cod.
ben got a nice yellowfin on a 5" atomic jerkbait which went like the clappers.
we then chased some gropers and i nailed my pb and ben got his first.
was a great day on the water and weather was quite nice too.
to top the day off we watched and then help revive a very large cod a fella caught on a kayak. estimated weight was about 50-60kgs.

Spot X? - I was in the Poly cc about 100m to your north watching those cheesy grins happening.
Funny how you can fish the same patch of reef and score completely different fish.
Our tally was five squire between 2.5 and 4.5kg, a few bream and couple of big eye travelly. My cousin was about 100m to your south pulling snapper to 5kg. Neither of us have pulled moses perch for so long on that reef.
Top conditions tho ;)
Watched you cop the run around from your tuna - glad it wasn't a 9kg knob ::)
Well done fellas - that spot is fishing well at the moment - need a drop in water temp to bring on the snapper.
Let me know when your heading back and I'll drive over and say g'day ;)

cheers scroman did that fella in the platey get a jewie??
we thought we seen one get landed thats what we were chasing but no good unfortunately. yeh no good on the snapper either but maybe next time. they got some nice spanglys near the island the day before a little birdy told me. one fella had 6 bite offs on liveys too so there might still be a spaniards hanging around

cheers matt
