G'day

Dave and I headed out at 3.00 am to fish the usuall spots tossing up wether to go to the banks or not but opted out. So we arrived at spot x and fishing was very slow first up with only a few moses perch and a couple of parrot to hit the deck, and also one big cuttle fish which is the biggest i have seen so far.

We spent about an hour in the same spot and decided to move in a little closer and do a bit of drifting which didn't produce alot either but scored a couple of squire and dave got a nice knobby to make us think about having a anchor on top and see what happens.

Not a great deal coming up until we started to burley and we ended up with a few more snapper and some mixed in species also.

Over all ended up with

3 parrot
4 moses
8 squire and snapper
1 perlie
1 cuttlefish
1 tuna bait next time

eat them mate just like squid, keep the head and tenicles for bait they taste pretty good.

went out on a hcarter last year around this time with johnny palermo to the tempest, and pulled in 3 of those monster cuttle fish... excellent eating they were 8-)

Pardon my ignorance, but is Spot X the nickname of an actual place, or is just a secret location? ;)

I have seen a few people refer to that term in their reports.
