This Cobia was caught off the pin bar Friday 26th. The fish was not weighed #:-/ we think it may have gone 30kg. It took a large live bait whilst anchored and took about 20min to pull in. They tell me it was a pretty anxious 20min because the gear was a dodgy Kmart combo and they were woundering if it was going to explode. The combo held up and the boys had a brag fish.

I was on another boat unfortunately but they had to go to work and that was all they got. We were braging that we were catching more fish but when they said on the radio they had an approx 30kg cobia we soon shut up.

Another mate caught this Bass Groper or Hapuka at Brown's Mt off Sydney, it went 75kg he was on his own and struggled to get it in. It seems that all my mate's are getting big fish but not me! :'( one day.

30kg+, i have a mate who buys all the cheap combos and theres nothing worse than seeing him land the fish of the day on a outfit that isnt worth the price of my braid. Moral of the story: Dont judge a book by its cover. Well done.
