hi fishboy, you could also try the reef where the ships moor awaiting to load or unload. dead east of the harbour, track down the fish traps. the right time of year plenty of dolphin fish to be had, good luck, kevy. :) :)

Try Bass Point, out off shellharbour boat ramp - most beaches have plenty of flathead on the drift. General Shellharbour area, Port Kembla off the Islands, the wave rider buoy out wide of Port Kembla. You just gotta get out there and give it a go - usually you will see fishing charter boats out there as well so just watch where they go. There is a local book you can get which has GPS positions for spots to fish. Good Luck hope you get some.

hi fishboy, yes, as i said the port kembla islands are well worth the effort. wollongong harbour had a reasonable ramp the last time i was there, although that was a lot of years ago, as fishaholic said shellharbour area is well worth having a look at. good luck, kevy. ;) ;)
