Seano and I left Bribie late saturday arvo and picked up some livies on the way to the cape. Had a spot in mind for a dusk fish so drifted some livies across some reef in 40 metres for an hour to see if we could stretch the arms on something before we anchored up. Two for none, too big to stong pulled the hooks on both. Anchored up in shallow water on dusk but the current dropped out and Seano got one 6kg snapper then the vermon come in. Changed spots but schools of Bullseye Perch and little reefies drove us mad so we anchored at Yellowpatch for a comfy nights sleep. Found a spot north of Hutchies last trip so headed there for dawn fish and finished up with a nice mixed bag of Snapper, pearlies, tuskies moses perch, cod and cobia. Mid morning a pod of 3 humpbacks put on a breaching display for 20 minutes 200 metres off the boat, it was something to see. Got one great photo on Seano's camera I will post later.
Fish come back on the bite after that but we had plenty so headed home happy. Caught a PB for me a 10kg snapper after dropping one as big at the landing net earlier.
Thanks for use of the boat again Blocka and ya mums happy with the two snapper we gave her but she is keen for a fishin trip soon.
Happy Days

Great fish Scoota,

Sounds like a positive for me as we are gonna do the same next weekend.

Thinking of an O/nighter on Shallow Tempest.

Roll on the weekend lol.

Cheers,
