just a quick report.headed out the wide day bar in a mates boat as mine is out of action again >:((thats a total of 4.5months out of the 9 i've owned it) Anchored up on the one spot all day. Caught plenty of undersize reds and pearlies.Nathan managed to land a 70cm red, and then a big knobbie at 9-10kg, and then another red at 67cm all on his special rig. Was a beatiful day on the water.

Giday Ty

Nice fish! They have been getting some good sized snapps up that way recently!

At least you got out mate! I picked the best glass out of the year to have my boat getting a touch-up. :(

Great catch Ty. :o Nothing worse than having your boat out of action. makes you desperate for a fishing trip, but it is always fun being the deckie for a change ;)

Cheers,

Mark

I 100% agree with you jeffo.I try to mix up where i fish as much as i can and most my mark only get fished a few times a year. That spot we caught the knobbie from we only fish in winter once or twice a year.As its very isolated and very close.

I'll just start fishing murphies I don't see many boats around there no more....... ;D ;D

Ian I know the feeling mate.Still, glad I got out but a little dissapointed that I wasn't in me own boat as I was planning to head further afield for longer chaseing the big reds ;D

fish-boy yeah the pearlies are the ones with the big eyes. They get there name from a hard growth(the larger the fish the bigger it is) on the edge of there gill plate that has a pearl appeareance
