HI All

Headed out early Monday Morning to chase a few. We started off floatlining the shallow reefs but didnt do any good other than a few small squire. Headed to the bait reef but the bait was nowhere to be found. Thought as much with the strong sea the previous few days. Headed out to the 36's to do a bit of bottom bashing and Jigging. First drift I hooked up solid on a CHAOS 300g jig and managed to wrestle the fish away from the Bottom. He came up glowing yellow and was a pretty good size King. My mate Jurgen got blown away on bait and after a few more reefies and a bonito we headed deeper to the 50's. Couldnt find any decent Pearlies but managed a few good size Sambo's and a nice Tuskie. It was a wierd day with squalls moving through periodically and with a few threaghtening we headed back to the 36's for a fe more reefies and this time it was Kelvin's turn to get dusted up by an unstoppable. All in all a good day on the water with a nice bit of variety.Good fishing to you all. :)

Cheers Rod

Nice fish Rod.Any jackets up your way? We lost seven jigs in a very short time to them two weeks back with only four or five smallish fish for our loss.

Pat

There were quite a few up this end of the coast last week, we couldnt get a bait to the bottom on the 36's but there were very few yesterday. We only lost two hooks to them all morning. Hopefully they wont be as thick as last year. Mate there have been some good fish around off the Tweed. Not large numbers but good size. If you guys down there at the shop need any more Jigs just give Brad a shout. I think he has got the paint work on them heaps better now. ;)

Cheers Rod

Great catch Rod. Maybe it's the pic but that looks like a decent piece of kevlar/dyneema on the assist hook in that first pic.

Top stuff

Nice mug shot Rod! #
Maybe you should have worn a bikini and you'd be up for the cover of NAFA next year!!

If those were the stop-ables I can only imagine what the big beasts were like, eh?!!

Good to be back in touch mate.
