Was fishing caloundra 5 mile for snapper using whole pillies on a penn 6 ft spin rod teamed up with a shimano tr 200G overhead an 4 kg line.First drop and i was away 300 mts of line was out and it was getting to the bottom of the spool at the speed of a frieght train 2 hrs and 45 min later and half way to moreton island seen coluor and called it a longtail This is a persional best for me on 4 kg gear it was ment for snapper Came back as i was buggerd arms falling off i had had enough for the day>The tuna was weighed in at caloundra fishingworld tipping the scales at 23 kg not a bad effort on 4 kg gear ment for snapps

Cheers

yes is is a record for line class just got to send in the line a pic of the tuna and get barry form caloundra fishing world to sign the weighin paper a little bit more than what i barganed for

It is not the hurt you feel after the fight that you should be worried about, if you are able to move your arms the next day I will be surprised.

Between you and the skipper, job well done to be able to land a brute like that on 4 kg gear.
Hope you kept the terminal end of the tackle so you can claim for a potential record.

Regards

Wessel
