Headed up to Turkey for the long weekend. Been 3 months since the last trip up there so we were itching for a big one. Headed out towards Herron Island and worked hard at some of our old spots and fished a few new spots that we haven't been before. Most spots produced the usual trout, hussar, parrot, red throat etc. Got a few good reds and had a few bust offs. We camped in close to the reef to get out of the persistant SE winds and cooked up a feed of Reds and bacon. Worked our way back to the ramp on Monday morning in the best conditions of the weekend. Ended up with our bag limit of 80 fish. Did 200 mile for the weekend for a burn of 300 liters of fuel. Cant wait to get back up there.

Nice catch Perko. The colour of the sweety is something special .. almost silver and pale blue and no yellow showing. Were you fishing on a sandy bottom ?
Great catch

Thanks for the replies. Mark, we got the sweetlip in the shallows were we camped at night and it was sandy bottom with scattered bombies. Boat is doing well on fuel but it was 200 normal miles not nautical, but still not to bad.
