Headed out to the southern banks friday night, anchored on our spot and was straight onto a nice snapper first drop. The slimies were thick out there, but the fishing was pretty slow :-/. We only got the decent fish on floaters. JustOneMore turned up to fish beside us in the early hours and i think was a little surprised to find two out of the four of us stumbling around the boat, stereo cranked, slightly under the weather and putting out a good berley trail ::).
Ended up with 8 snapper/squire, couple of spangled emperor and a few reefies. The dawn bite just didnt really happen so off we went in search of some cobia. Well that didnt really happen either so the rest of the morning was spent looking for new ground around the wide caloundra area. Punched in a few marks then back to the ramp to clean the fish with sore heads. The fisheries boys were at the ramp checking catches, we saw them pulling someone up for not having a tie down strap on their boat.
