No not the end of year "schoolies" but School mackeral. D2 had just had his GPS/sounder replaced by the manufacturer as the original was lost in transit when returned for repairs under warranty. All waypoints now put in and it needed a test run. That's our excuse anyway. Thursday morning looked the goods according to Seabreeze. We headed out from Mooloolaba to a well known school mackeral area. With slight breeze and little current a drift tactic was used. Result was two sweetlip. We were after school mackeral so a different tactic was put into place. Result was Seven school mackeral. I must mention that D2 dropped his first two! Back home for lunch. What a great morning with weather going to plan and yes the GPS/sounder worked well.
