Hi everyone

A mate wants me to go with him to the rock wall at the spit next week. Fishing the afternoon into night. Can anyone give me some tips on what we can expect. We are bait fishing with a lure or two. ??? ??? ??? ???

My advise is pick the tides. The water absolutly races through there, so 1.5 hours either side of the side is your best bet for bait fishing. Unless you like jogging, in which case you could fish the whole tide ;) Throwing lures can be productive especially in the wash at the end of the walls for Tailor, Trevally etc, inside the seaway for Mangrove Jacks etc maybe even the odd Jew.
