new Knot

Tried this new knot on weekend, and found it real easy to
tye braid onto med/hvy mono leader.. Just wondering if any
one else has seen or used it, it never gave way or slipped
mite be different on something heavier then 40cm species

Hi Webby ,yep a simple and effective way to join 2 lines together, lays nice and straight as well.

Would suggest a 2nd. loop(instead on 1) to help "lock" it i.e. on your bigger diameter line , and the turns on the smaller line vary (to simply "bulk-up" the smaller line) i.e. 2 lines of same dia. , just use 2 loops each......(much) smaller line on one-side 5 or 10,etc

(on an alvey) , when the knot comes in ,make sure that part is towards the back of the spool (so it still casts o.k.!!)
p.s. add 'spit' and initially pull together gently ,can be cut off fairly close as well!!!!
