not doubt there are a lot of fisher folk on these fishing associated web sites that see them a medium to promote products to wich thay are linked to, be it via sponsorship or on a monarty basis... ::) ::)
the internet is no doubt the perfect window for like minded folk to interact and push their approiate barrows.
i'm sure we all have at some time or other mentioned our favourite rod or reel in a post.

Around here, generally no. Most people call it like it is. That doesn't stop some people plugging their favourite bit of gear as TBF said, but that mostly because they like it not because they are paid to do so.

I say read all, lisen to all paid or not there are always good points to be had. Most of the time you can work out who is getting paid to say things, but I have found most things said here are from experance and no one has to much experance.
