Rainbow Beach

???I'm going up to Rainbow Beach on Wednesday. Whats the fishing like up there? Has anyone stayed on the beach at Freshwater creek??

From memory, it has been a few years, camping is prohibited about 5 kilometeres either side of the beach entrance to Freshwater.

Stay at Freshwater camp grounds. Good place

Freshwater campground is ok but campfires are banned. (this is only a recent ban I think) If the wind isnt up you'd be better off camping on the beach. there is a 15km stretch just to the south of freshwater where camping is allowed. we usually pick a gutter close to freshwater campground and camp there so we can drive up and use the showers.
