I heard a caller to 4bc talkback radio the other day stating that 1000s of litres of raw sewerage was leaked into this creek.Signs were posted to stop kids swimming and the end result is that there is NO marine life left there.....nothing in the water at all.
Has anyone else heard of this.?

I hope someone who has seen this has reported it to the EPA pollution hotline. The number is 1300 130372 but it is better if it is someone who has had a good look at the site and knows a bit about what happened.
Get onto it fellas and help protect our fish from pollution.

Hello fellas.
I live at Burpengary and what happeded was the local council sewage pipe burst.(not exactly sure when) I think it was about 8000 litres or there abouts. I know the pipe was over due for replacement. I haven't though heard any reports of dead fish.
The council has kept this one pretty quiet as you can imagine.
regards

bLOODY TYPICAL.If a private organisation did it there would be hell to play but not for our wally councillors. From what I can remember of Burpengary Ck it is a pretty major feed into the river system and if they killed as much as was reported then something needs to be done.
