I have only started fishing so it's all new to me, but I was wondering what the general opinion is........

The other day my mate showed me a huge Kingfish that he had caught.
He told me that it was a female and was full of roe. My immediate thoughts were, well not only have you killed a fantastic fish but you have also buggered any chances of this one replacing others like it.
Whats the general concensus do you return those fish carrying eggs back to the sea?
Just wondered...........

How huge was it? my bro has caught black king to 85lb and releases females in roe, the smaller ones he keeps, not all as he likes a feed of roe from time to time. this will bring some flack for sure, but i am being honest.
cheers.

You should make the decision each time you catch any fish, wieght up hoq the species is fairing, are they being over fished, and have you caught anything else that day. If I have been fishing all day and caught only 1 fish, I would probably keep it, other wise, if you havea feed, release all the fish you can. http://www.ausfish.com.au/chat/images/smilies/cwm44.gif
