Flush by the news of the ban on ring netting I had a look at the Queensland Fisheries Service (QFS) web site http://www.dpi.qld.gov.au/fishweb/

I noticed that the response to the Coral Reef Fin Fish RIS http://www.dpi.qld.gov.au/fishweb/10910.html is due soon.

I recommend all anglers to have a read and respond.

The government has shown it sometimes listens.

Hey wes i did a topic on this on the 6th with no replies, confirmed by Sunfish this will also affect the mentioned fish from the QLD border to the Gulf including moreton bay, but as i said i didnt get any replies with 12 views. best of luck

Download the RIS response form

Save the response form onto your machine.

Edit the response form. This I found harder than it should be. I found it hard to tick the boxes. (Does any Word guru know how to do this).

Email the completed form as an attachement to crff@dpi.qld.gov.au

Just got my letter from DPI - QFS thanking me for submitting my RIS.

How thoughtful. I hope they read and consider it when draft up the new fishery management plan.
