Hey guys check out the height of the swell from the wave rider bouy off point lookout...4.9 METRES at 9am 3-2-03

You should have gone on holidays months ago.... just hope some of this rain falls out west.

Checked out the wave rider buoy stuff - didn't mean a lot to me.

Hi Phill (Argo)..mate it always happens that when you plan holidays the weather changes!!
That web page is handy just to check out the swell before going offshore....mate i can just see you out there in the dart riding those 5 metre waves..lol..lol

Phill(argo) mate here's the rainfall on radar at 12-30pm # #3-2-03 not much of it getting out to the west!!

Understand that one. I am better with pictures.

I was talking to a guy at the ramp on friday and he said they have been catching garfish from the jetty. If you get desperate and the weather doesn't pick up........I can just see you down there with your Tica baitrunner and soft plastics causing havoc among the float fishers.

Yeah mate might have to resort to doing some land based fishing if the weather doesn't improve in the next few days....mind you those garfish(mini marlin) are great fun to catch on light gear...my mate uses a long telescopic 15ft pole like they use in course fishing and about 15ft of 2 kilo line...its fun to watch that pole just about bend in half..lol

was up at alex hds surf club last night, (tuff job) the swell wasnt all that big last night but very messy, a lot of fresh extending out to sea.

Sean ive done a bit of searching for you and found those NSW wave rider buoys but the site is not the same as the Queensland one.

ps looking at that warm sea temperature it should be great for the marlin etc!!
