The Hervey Bay Family Fishing Competition for 2003 is on again this year. It starts from 6 P.M. Thursday March 6th 2003 to Sunday March 9th 2003, 12 noon. The entry fee is adults $30 juniors $10 and the species of fish this year are whiting, flathead, blackall, silver bream, snapper, golden trevally and coral bream. The super draw prize is a Quintrex 420 Estuary Angler with a 25 hp Mercury Redco Trailer and Canopy. First prize is a Quintrex 385 Explorer 15hp Mercury Redco Trailer and Bimini. Second prize is a GPS and Sounder and Third prize is an icebox and fishing tackle. The largest of each species of fish for the comp also gets $400 per species. Every adult entrant is in the running to win two boats. Every junior entrant is in the running to win the computer which is the junior first prize and other great prizes and the list goes on.
