Hi Shano,

We have one in the Foyer of our office floor. Its about 3 years old and looks truely 'MAGNIFICENT' !
It would be 45 cm long and a beautiful bronze colour.

If you work around the Brisbane city area come up and have a look at it.

Regards
Craig.

Craig,

any chance of giving some info on the setup of the tank. IE How often does it get cleaned, how is the water changed, how much of the water is changed, any additives put in the water, also what does it get fed....

;)

Shano - had one for many years. great entertainment value at feeding time. Mates used to come around with a few bears and drop in the livies - sick huh!! ;D ;D

They are abosolutely magnificent in a tank.

Smith's Aquarium at Sandgate Rd Boondall has a Mangrove Jack in a tank. Must be about 40 cm long from memory. They can tell you all you need to know.

That one at Smiths is more like 50cm + Mike - it is sure a horse. Great display.

Chris,

Don't worry about the Rod, we've got a good broom stick and some electrical wire. Should be able to whip up a lure out a few Bull Dog Clips.

Heath,
I'm not sure of the Chemical make-up of the tank but it is fresh water out of the tap. The Tank is cleaned every three to four weeks. Half the water is changed over with every clean. A hose is used to drain the water from the tank into a sink. Our 'Jack' gets fed frozen Prawns and Pellets. Sometimes when he is real bad we will feed him Red Claw etc.

Cheers
Craig.

water conditions are just as cragie said straight out of the tap but with neutriliser added ... ph level of brisbanes water is perfect so no need for that to be messed with.. we do water changes every 2 weeks about 30-40%
