Evening Spike,
With the current weather outlook (Strong Wind Warning & big seas) rock & beach fishing up around the Cape does not look flash. You could try some rock fishing at North Point which should be sheltered from the SE wind.
Be VERY VERY careful. You will see the lifering on the rock shelf that juts out. Watch for at least 10 minutes before you fish to check the wave pattern. Freak waves are common there even on a falling tide. Do not fish off this shelf at night during this weather.
The best bet may be the gutters to the west on the beach. There are normally a few lizards & whiting in there. Might pay to take some worms over with you as they will be hard to catch & the tackle shop at Bulwer will probably be out. Take your own pillies too. Have a good time.
