Firstly, like 99% of the population does, and that is call Agnes Water......Agnes Waters,,,,,sorry , no 's' on Water.
I believe that 1770 / Agnes is a great location. July could be a tad windy, but that shouldn't affect the land based operator. A Charter out of 1770 is available on about 3 different boats.
The Pink Duck up to Bustard Head is a must.

A good location is the Captain Cook Holiday Village which is half way between 1770 and Agnes.
Travel via Bundaberg as it is all sealed road now.
