Just looking at the map and a 1030 high is being followed up by a 1028. If I'm reading it right, SE winds around 20 knots. Hope I'm wrong.

You're definitely right Dave, bugger. Means we'll be getting our arse blown off on Straddie.

bugman,
best fish I'v caught out of the suds on straddie have been in a SE blow, but you do get knocked around. Failing that it's a good excuse to just kick back & have a drink under the stars.

Dave,
Typical, 20+knot winds for the week I have off work between Easter and ANZAC day. Strong wind warning from Coolangatta to Torres Straits for 10 days straight.
Get back to work on Monday, and its 10-15knots. Mackmauler used up all the good weather.
Current forecast for Saturday for Moreton Bay is 15/20 knots. It may be a bit lumpy for your Hornbag.
I'm hoping it will ease by Monday. The Longtails may be safe for another weekend.

I propose that Tuesdays and Wednesdays should become our weekends and Saturday and Sunday become part of the standard working week.
Cheers, Clutter.

Clutter just about has it right, my working week is Sunday to Wednesday, and rest assured between thursday and Saturday the wind gets up. As long as I have a boat sitting in my back yard it will always be the same. why do you think webby, phil and bugman catch fish on a saturday night? its because i cant go because of work commitments, pure and simple. :-[
cheers

I reckon your right there Wes.
Mate of mine just bought a Southwind 540 with a 100 4 donk on the back. Still trying to convince him that we need to go out on the weekend, for a trst of course AND if I happen to have my fly rod ;D

Maybe it's all part of a conspiracy with the fuel companies...high winds tied to high fuel prices just to piss us all off.
