Which one and what year?

Having a conversation whith a couple of fellow fishos.and the question was asked.Who made the first tinny,and in which year?The couple that came to mind were Dehaviland,Brooker and Quintrex.But I was sure that there was another brand of tinny around that was before these ones and I think it would be in the very early sixties.Can anyone help.Bazz

Hi Bazz,
Clarke boats were made in the '60's as well. There was someone in Albury making boats at that time, and I'm sure it was Clarke. I can remember going there with my father to pick one up. All I can remember is a tin shed in a disused quarry.

HI Im with Dale, Clarke and De havilland were about the first two around.
My first tinnie was a clarke fishing around Bowen.
