What your biggest catfish?

what are your biggest catfish? My biggest was caught in the Indooroopilly reaches of the brissie river it reached 75cm and weighed about 6 kilos. I got it on blood worm.

For a bit of fun when nothing else is biting sometimes I fish for Salmon Catfish (ocean), generally using herring as bait.

These things are huge fun on light gear and put up a great fight. Apparently they sell the flesh as Cobbler and it fetches around $20 a kilo, I dunno how it tastes, although my dog reckons it tastes great when it's smoked ::)

I've never measured or weighed any of these I've caught but in general I'd say they average around 70cm and the biggest I caught was well over a meter! The big fork tail on these puppies sure help them get about quick ;D
