lake awonga

i am heading to agnes water, staying at discovery coast caravan park in july.I would like to know what this caravan park is like? also fishing lake awonga this time of year (good,bad......or so so). [smiley=thumbsdown.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]????

The lake will not fish well for barra this time of year, it will be interesting to see how it goes later in the year with so much more water between the fish.

I have fished Lake Awoonga at various times of the year. I have found the best times to be between October and March. This is especially in the deeper areas of the lake. I have however caught fish in shallower parts of the lake at all times of the year, provided that it was a clear sunny day.

Heard a report last week of one local getting 5 barra in a session in shallow water on fizzers. So they are certainly gettable in the cooler months but I think the weather would play a BIG role.

The angler drops in here occasionally so if he sees this he might care to elaborate further.
